Future Black Filmmakers is a creative community dedicated to uplifting the voices of Black filmmakers from 8th to 12th grade by connecting them with real professionals in the film industry.
We provide a safe & inspiring space where students can explore their passion for film, ask questions, and learn how working filmmakers got started and built their careers.
Our meetings have valuable conversations with industry professionals, from writers and directors to editors and producers, so students can gain real insight into the different paths in filmmaking and what it takes to break in.
Just as importantly, Future Black Filmmakers is about building community. It’s a space for young creatives to connect with one another, share their love for storytelling, and support each other as they begin their journeys in film.
